Grace Upon Grace
Jintaek Chung
"The Word made flesh among us."
"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
— John 1:14
Chapter One
Scroll — and let the seven days rise, one by one, out of the deep.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the firmament Heaven — dividing waters above from waters beneath.
Dry land gathered, seas were named, and every seed-bearing herb rose from the soil.
The greater to rule the day, the lesser to rule the night — signs for seasons and for years.
The waters teemed, and every winged fowl took to the open firmament of heaven.
So God created man in His own image — male and female created He them.
He blessed the seventh day and sanctified it — for in it He had rested from all His work.

Chapter Two
Bethlehem
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
— Luke 2:11
Chapter Three
Scroll — and watch signs of the Kingdom rise, one by one, out of the dark.

“The master of the feast tasted the water that was made wine.”

“Peter walked on the water, to go to Jesus.”

“They did all eat, and were filled — twelve baskets full remained.”

“One thing I know — that whereas I was blind, now I see.”

“He that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes.”
“Sealed with a seal, guarded through the long night.”
“His countenance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow.”
“He is not here — He is risen, as He said.”
“A cloud received Him out of their sight.”
He is risen — He is risen indeed

Chapter Five · The Ark of Refuge
Genesis 6:14
Make yourself an ark of gopher wood.
One family from many homes — held by covenant faithfulness.
Our Beliefs
Three pillars, drawn from the letter to the Ephesians, shape everything we do — the Gospel we preach, the family we are, and the mission we carry.
His perfect example in life, sacrificial death on the cross, and victory over sin are the ultimate expression of God's love and purpose for us.
Chapter Six
Whether it's your first Sunday or your fiftieth, there's a seat for you. We're a warm, all-ages congregation centered on the Word and the worship of Jesus.

Our History
From a small prayer gathering in 1985 to a congregation of "One Family, Many Homes" — this is the story of how God has been faithful to Trinity Gospel Church.

Fellowship over Scripture
1985
A group of young believers begins gathering in the northwest suburbs of Chicago for prayer and Bible study — the seed of what would become Trinity Gospel Church.

Preaching the Word
1988
As family and friends are added to their number, the group launches its first official Sunday worship service, with support from the Converge network.

1900 E. Nerge Road, Elk Grove Village
1994
After years of renting space, God provides a permanent building. In the years that follow, classrooms and a basketball-court gym are added through the sacrificial giving of members to accommodate growing outreach ministries.

Worship in the gym
2022
God's faithfulness continues: the mortgage is paid off in full. As the congregation keeps growing, Sunday worship officially moves out of the sanctuary and into the gym.

One family, many homes
Today
What began as a Bible-study prayer group is now a flourishing church across the northwest suburbs and beyond, seeking to fulfill the Great Commission and see lives transformed by Jesus.
"By His grace, we look forward to continue living out the vision He has given us: to exalt Jesus and see lives transformed by Him."
Chapter Seven
We aren't a stage and an audience. We're a family — praying, serving, learning, and growing together in every season.
